I recently came across non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment, and I found it interesting how engineers can inspect materials and structures without causing any damage to them.
Non-destructive testing equipment is used to evaluate the condition, quality, and integrity of components while allowing them to remain in service. These innovations are helping improve inspection accuracy, reduce downtime, and support preventive maintenance by identifying potential issues before they become significant problems.
Before reading about this topic, I hadn't realized how much technology goes into ensuring the safety and reliability of critical infrastructure without taking equipment apart.
